Chase UK Bank — Complete Guide 2026

Everything you need to know about Chase UK in 2026 — cashback rules, ATM limits, transfer limits, savings rates, customer service, and travel spending.

Chase UK is JPMorgan’s app-only bank for UK customers. Launched in 2021, it offers a free current account, a linked Saver account, and a Round-up savings pot. The current account itself stopped paying interest on 5 August 2024 — interest is now earned through the Saver (2.25% AER standard, variable) and Round-up account (5.00% AER, variable) instead.

This hub covers everything you need to know about using Chase UK day-to-day: limits, fees, savings, cashback, travel use, and customer support.

What Chase UK Offers

Chase UK is intentionally narrow in its product range. It is built for people who want to spend fee-free — both in the UK and abroad — and earn interest through its linked savings products.

Current Account

The Chase UK current account is free to open and hold. There are no monthly fees, no minimum pay-in requirements, and no penalties for low balances. Since 5 August 2024, Chase no longer pays interest on the current account balance — savings should be held in the linked Saver or Round-up account to earn interest instead.

Saver Account

Chase also provides a linked easy-access Saver account within the same app, paying 2.25% AER (variable) as standard, with a boosted new-customer rate available periodically (currently up to 4.5% AER for 12 months — a promotional offer, confirm current terms in the app). There are no withdrawal restrictions. The round-up feature automatically saves the spare change from purchases into a separate Round-up account, which pays 5.00% AER (variable).

Cashback

Chase launched with 1% cashback on all debit card spending for the first 12 months. Since 1 June 2026, Chase offers 2% cashback (up to £20 a month) on eligible UK and Channel Islands spending — groceries, restaurants, cafes, takeaways, everyday transport, fuel, and public EV charging — on both debit and credit cards, subject to making at least 15 card payments or Direct Debits a month and holding £1,000+ across your Chase Savers. Check the Chase app for full current terms, as these can change.

How Chase UK Compares

Chase UK competes most directly with Monzo and Starling in the app-bank space.

Bank Monthly fee Current account interest Foreign spending fee
Chase UK £0 £0 (Saver pays 2.25% AER; Round-up pays 5.00% AER) Free (fair use)
Monzo £0 (standard) 0% Free (standard plan, limits apply)
Starling £0 0% Free
First Direct £0 0% (higher rate on Regular Saver — confirm current rate) Confirm current non-sterling fee at firstdirect.com
Nationwide FlexPlus £13/month Confirm current rate at nationwide.co.uk Free (with travel insurance)

For most people who want fee-free banking plus interest on savings held in a linked pot, Chase UK remains a strong free option in the UK in 2026 — but note that, unlike its early years, the current account itself no longer pays interest.
